Man, people tell me im crazy but i got a cheap strat remake and i stripped all the electronics and put in a single humbucker that i took from my dean mlx, i routed out the trem cavity so now i can raise and lower the pitch as much as i want. it now has a floating trem, and it stays in tune perfectly.

i got the cheap nady and it fucking rocks. im soon to play for 30,000 people with it.

from my experience and from being a guitar and bass tech, i would use larger gauge strings for lower tunings. and deffinatly do not move your pickups higher as it will pull on the strings causing them to buzz. but it is totally up to personal taste. and i dont know about that bullshit about tuning t...
