You will be lucky to get in on tuesday. They don't open the camp till 8am wednesday. You will probably be in a long queue in your car. We have a hotel booked in Itzehoe tuesday night and were going to hit the road about 6am wed morning.

We're planning to arrive sometime on Wednesday afternoon, what do you reckon the traffic into the campsite will be like?

Last year it was brutal as fuck getting in. Was a very long motorway queue and took us hours of waiting, then our driver took some detour he found with the sat nav then drove around some back roads and fields to get us a shortcut into the town. So I imagine it will be similarly busy.

Im staying in the Hotel Mercure with about 9 to 10 other people. As far as i know its all booked up. There are other hotels in Itzehoe, but the likelihood of any being available is very slim. And this one is also the closest to the centre I hear, so I imagine all of the other are quite far out.

My crew is getting up at around 6am and joining the queue. Last year we didn't get in to the campground till around 10am. But that's because Morg was wasted and I had to pummel his hotel door to wake him up. Then we took the wrong exit off the dual carriage way and got momentarily lost Fuck knows how, it was the third time we had driven there. But regardless of all that we still had a decent spot and the traffic was long but it wasn't overly bad.

The plan I have this year will hopefully get us a really good spot.
