Gibson Les Paul or Dave Mustaine Angel of Deth by Dean guitars.
a flying v would be pretty fucking cool but im also into the Les Paul design. They both should sound great but im sure Gibson is worth more whether i want a custom or not...
Any of you have a Gibson Les Paul or can recommend me with something better than these that are a price range around $1000?

get a paul. signature guitars are over-rated, and no matter what anyone says, they are cheap. they dont make them like they make the ones for the artists.
you wanna be a badass???
get one of these and throw an Invader in that bitch

i do have an epiphone les paul. but it's kinda warped so it has a bit of an annoying buzzing sound when playing it. I think I'll get the Angel of Deth since its got a decent price and looks and sounds great according to the reviews.

I would get an ltd/esp ec1000. In the amber sunburst with the good pickups, not those crap EMG's.

I'd have to say that the tone and pitch on the emg's are quite as good as the GL's pickups. but you know, You have to go with your own preferences. What do you think about emg's new line of pickups?

so your brother adjusted your truss rod and its still getting fret buzz?
check out a site onm how to do it yourself and take your time doing it. Truss rod adjustments are pretty easy to do, just make small increments when turning the allen key.

PRS SE singlecut...for the $$$, a damn GREAT guitar, great electronics, great materials, and great construction...I fucking LOVE mine, bought it brand new for only $389, only thing it needed was to have the toggle replaced...15 bucks and my soldering skills fixed that in about 15 minutes...
this the exact model and finish I have...and can be regularly had for under $600:
