I bought it off my friend's brother for 40 bucks and a little bit of weed. It's a Yamaha RGX 1220J, I tried looking some shit up on it but everything is in japanese.
It's got a floating bridge on it, how hard would it be to make it a fixed bridge or a string thru? Just drill holes?

stick two pieces of wood between the tremolo block and it wont move anymore.

I think I almost have the tremelo figured out, I just got everything close to being in tune, locked the nuts at the top of the neck and kept on trying to fine tune the thing. It's not perfectly in tune but all the strings are within 30 dimes of each other

i forgot to take a pic of the back, it's a neckthru, looks like a three piece body...it's pretty heavy, feels like it's pretty close to my bass in weight. i need new strings and some small stuff for it but she's ready to fuckin' thrash at a moment's notice

as for the action, i cant tell by the picture because they're dark, but if its a floyd rip-off or similiar, the bridge should be supported by two pivot screws. they are usually adjustable with an allen wrench. just crank them up or down to raise or lower

sand it but dont repaint it. replace the trem posts with original floyd rose parts, they will wear down and that thing will suck. you adjust the action primarily with those. be carefull not to strip the allen screws. and i hope those switches are for your low rider/

yea dude not bad for 40. like ernie said, i'd put a real floyd in there and replace the pickups. would like nice sanded too but the best thing you can do is just take the bridge out now until you can afford a real floyd, or another bridge.

I saved an original floyd rose off my warlock but can't find the sumbitch anywhere. the guitar stays in tune pretty good for a no name floating bridge. I'll probably just take it to someone to have it put in
Ernie why do you advise against repainting it?
